Majorca or Mallorca is the largest of Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea off the south east coast of main land of Spain. It is associated with its two islands of Menorca and Ibiza. Communication
It takes around 2 - 2.1/2 hours flying time from most UK airports. Here the local time is 1 hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time. You can recognize the magnificent landmark of 14th Century Gothic cathedral at nearby Palma before landing. Son Sant Joan, which is the main tourist airport, having modern facility and is located in the south of the island just outside the capital Palma.

The island is so splendid with beauty that you can take your breath with hearts content. The little towns and villages are all easily accessible with decent roads throughout the island. You must pop over to Majorca's neighbour islands Ibiza and Menorca on one of the regular ferries; this can be another great day out. Ferries from the mainland to the Balearics, trains from Palma to Inca and Sóller, busses to almost every village help to keep communication better. There are many centres that for teaching you and get your certificate, from beginner to advance! Fishing is another favourite. Again you will find many companies or private charters around the ports in the main tourist resorts. There are sailing, windsurfing, skin divers and for the usual tourist-- water sports; ringo's, Para sailing, banana boats, water skiing and jet skiing! Main attractions in Mallorca / Majorca are brilliant golf courses, water, theme and amusement parks which are close to or in Cala d'Or including. the Island of Mallorca is very popular for Scuba divers because it is being surrounded by water,. There is a Scuba Diving centre (MDS Diving Centre) at Cala Ferrera.
